Brandie + Trevor June 26, 2025

This wedding was an extra special one- my best friend- the girl I’ve known since we were babies, got to marry the man of her dreams. In the hills and trees of Mariposa, Ca, Brandie and Trevor became one in front of their closest friends, family, and the sweet little bundle of joy they were expecting. It was small, intimate, and meaningful to all who attended.

THE VENUE

The property was huge, surrounded by trees, hills, trails, and a little swimming pond. There were three houses spread across the property- one was used for the ceremony and reception, a guest house, and the last for Brandie and Trevor to stay at, get ready, and share each other’s company. Their family was privileged to stay close as they started this new chapter of their lives,

DETAILS

I arrived at noon the day of the wedding. I was able to start setting up our Photo Booth and got some detail shots. Everyone was busy doing something- preparing the food, setting up, and making those finalized touches to the venue. After detail shots, I went over to B and T’s house where they were getting ready together and sharing a morning together before their ceremony. It was so calm there. I could tell they were enjoying their peace together, their last moments before I Do. As Trevor got dressed I took pictures of flat lays and the dress. I was both nervous and excited. I had never really got to photograph details like this yet. It was new and exciting, but I knew there was no room for messing up. This was big!

GETTING READY

Once Trevor was dressed, I took his getting ready shots. He was confident but preserved. I could tell he was ready to get married but I could also see he was nervous. He stood there for a few seconds after, closed his eyes, breathed in, and then went ahead and left to the other house where the ceremony would be taking place. He was ready to marry his best friend, the woman of his dreams, his person.

Brandie began to get ready and putting on her last finishing touches of jewelry, perfume, and her dress and shoes. She had her sister there to help her into her dress and place her veil. It was such a special moment to watch and be apart of, I got to see and photograph the little girl I grew up with as she became a bride.

THE FIRST LOOK

Probably my favorite part of any wedding is a first look. In this case, Brandie did a first look with her older brother and dad. She walked down the stairs, and they turned to see her. They all shared a moment and then Brandie’s sister joined them. I think everyone teared up a bit. It was such a special and bittersweet moment to see this family love each-other.

THE CEREMONY + RECEPTION

Brandie and Trevor shared the most sweetest and heartfelt vows and committed their lives to one another.

The rest of the evening was filled with laughter, love, food, drinks, and dancing. I don’t know if I could have imagined a more beautiful day for this couple. The trees, the lights, and the people made it so memorable. Every detail was so perfect and sweet and I hope their marriage and lives continue to be as blessed as they were this day. As a photographer, intimate weddings like this one are some of my favorite stories to tell.
